Just can't get enough

BAKLAVA
Erik's neighbor makes this delicious baklava and it is now available at Camas Produce Market. I could cry tears of joy for this.

Navigation Theory

One year of graphic design school down and one year to go! I am excited that I am out of school this summer but I am already missing my classes and my friends at school. I have picked up a couple of projects to keep me busy this summer... wedding invites, simple web site designs and a new blog idea are in the works! Here is a fun little website project we had to do for school. It was supposed to be four of your favorite anything, so I chose books.

If you have any ideas or projects for a graphic designer this summer let me know and I would love to see if I could help.

Goodbye Pretty Young Thing

I used to rip out articles from magazines about MJ and save them in my journal. That is something not many people know about me. Maybe my sister knew? Anyway, it's a shame to say goodbye so soon.

Happy Birthday Erik!

Dear Erik, You have been my best friend for some years now. Quite a long time actually. We mostly always get along. Except when you get mud on my new leg warmers, or when Jacob is playing Wii. I like when you ask me what I would think if your name was Cider VanWinkle or Specky Macgee. You like it when I wear your moms pants to do some serious modeling. We both like the Freemont bridge. Let's always spend time together. Happy Birthday! Love Erin

I don't know if Erik liked his Dharma food as much as I did. I am obsessed and have been putting these labels on EVERYTHING.

Jenny Lewis

Erik and I went to see Jenny Lewis last weekend. We had a hard time getting there because the Portland Starlight Parade was marching right down the street in front of the venue and we couldn't cross over. I love marching bands. I always have (and now this is a total side note- but I remember staying at my grandmother's house one summer in Preston Idaho and waking up every morning to a marching band practicing just outside my window. It was hot so the windows were wide open. I thought it was so wonderful. Not annoying like most people would assume. Just really awesome.) Anyway, Jenny Lewis was such a good show. I love Jenny Lewis and I think she is an amazing singer. I was seriously blown away at how good she is live. She sounds even better in person! One of the best shows I have ever seen.

My Favorite Artist

Maira Kalman is one of a kind and I love all of her work.
