Anthropologie Window Dressing

When you walk by an Anthropologie window display and see hundreds and hundreds of marshmallows tied to the ceiling by fishing line you say to yourself, "Hey! That looks pretty cool!" But do you ever wonder who tied all those marshmallows to the ends of those strings? And how long it took them? And if maybe they went a little crazy wondering what the meaning of it all really was? I don't. Because I know first hand... The window concept for spring is "birds" and I spent hours and hours today cutting out hundreds of paper birds while watching Labrynth and Christmas Vacation and The Big Labowski, and Simpsons Christmas.. and oh..I get to do it again tomorrow! And the honest truth is I enjoy my job.

I didn't. Some one else far more creative than me took it.

So does that mean that you work at Anthro?? If so, I am truly jealous, hook a sister up with a discount yo!

interestingly your work sounds frustratingly mundane, yet exotic all at the same time.

also, your work description sounds like you are doing wedding receptions in utah. :)

i am not lying. i honestly walked by the window display in anthro and wondered who cut the paper ornaments and then who strung them all.
what a killer job.

I don't think the link works. just go to sale jewlery on anthropologie. It's an Animal Portrait Pendant of an elephant.

Is it weird that I kind of want to decorate my wedding reception in Utah this way? I mean, fishing line is pretty cheap, as are marshmallows. And I think it would be hard to mess it up, even for someone like me who is decorating challenged. That, and this is really beautiful. Stunning, even.
